ToconceivethisnewvisionofHKUST,theUniversitysignedatripartiteagreementwiththeGuangzhouMunicipalGovernmentandGuangzhouUniversityin2018.Undertheagreement,theUniversitywilljointlyestablishHKUST(GZ)intheNanshadistrictofGuangzhouwithfullsupportofthelocalauthorityandpartner.Withthepreparatoryapprovalalreadyobtainedin2019,HKUSTisvigorouslyprogressingtothenextphaseofthisimportantmilestone. 香港科技大學(廣州)(下簡稱港科大(廣州))以其融合的學科架構，與港科大清水灣校區的深厚學科根基相輔相成，適時展示港科大重塑未來教育模式的理想與抱負。港科大改變未來的願景與粵港澳大灣區作為戰略性樞紐的發展規劃方向無縫契合，將源源不斷催生來自香港、澳門，以及廣東省九個不同城市的綜合型人才。港科大(廣州)將有助於加強知識轉移，利於香港借助內地強大的供應鏈網路，彌補本港高端創科產業的嚴重不足。為達成此願景，2018年港科大、廣州市人民政府及廣州大學簽署三方協議。根據協議，港科大獲得當地人民政府及合作夥伴的全力支持，於廣州市南沙區共同籌建港科大(廣州)。籌建辦學申請已順利獲批，港科大正衷心期待下一里程碑如約而至。
