After intensive 13 months planning, construction, and installation, Weifang Haoxin ConMet Mechanical Product’s operation commenced in December 2008. Thus ConMet has started its rapid growth in China. ConMet Nanjing assembly plant was set up in January 2011, and ConMet Shanghai Sales Service Center was established as well in July 2011. With the robust growth of ConMet North American and China market, ConMet is preparing its second foundry and machine manufacturing plant in Changyi, Shandong province, which is expected to be operational in December 2014.ConMet China owns the production capacity for PreSet, which is a leading wheel end solution in North America, from part casting, machining, assembling and testing. ConMet China has become the leading advanced wheel end technology solution provider in China.ConMet China had a record year of revenue and output in 2013. The total wheel ends and parts output passed 1.3 million pieces mark for the first time, 40% increase year on year base.Today ConMet China has more than 500 employees throughout Weifang, Nanjing, and Shanghai. The total investment of the JV is $20 million. The JV is controlled by ConMet (US company) with 70% of shares,plus ShangDong HaoXing Group with 30% shares.ConMet is a division of Amsted Industries Group, whose annual sales is more than $3 billion. ConMet owns 90% of the heavy duty truck components market in North America. ShangDong HaoXin Group is a large industrial group devoted in manufacturing of hub, drum and drum assembly, whose annual sales is about RMB 1 billion.
