As a joint stock commercial bank that provides service to different regions, Ping An Bank has a registered capital of RMB 5.461 bn and a total asset that exceeds RMB 130 bn. Ping An Bank is headquartered in Shenzhen and currently has outlets in Shenzhen, Shanghai ,Fuzhou,Quanzhou and Xiamen. Ping An Bank originates Shenzhen Commercial Bank(SZCB), which was established on June 22, 1995 and was the first city commercial bank in China. In November, 2006, per CBRC approval ,PAG held 89.36% of SZCB shares and became the biggest shareholder of the bank. On June 16, 2007, CBRC approved SZCB to merge former PAG subsidiary company Ping An Bank and the bank was renamedPing An Bank. As one of the 3 business pillars of PAG, Ping An Bank will leverage strong financial service platform of PAG to become a leading bank in China which will have outstanding performance in consumer business, credit card and SME business with world class management capability.
